Could you please describe your job-function in your Company?
Responsible for routine and breakdown maintenance on the two main Turbine Generators at Koeberg Nuclear Power Station.
Please explain briefly how a Nuclear power plant works, and the function of the turbines in this process.
Heat generated in the Reactor turns water in the Steam Generators into steam which drives the turbines which are in turn connected to the Generator which produces electricity.

VCI packaging wrapping over metal components, then packed in wood crate. Extensive corrosion
seen throughout shipments. Corroded metal edges, severe rust staining on rear housings. Also
consistent ingress of water throughout resulting in serious mould + mildew issues. Variety of vermin
often populating bottom of crates, leading to damage cause by feces/urine.
Revised Packaging Solution:
Machinery wrapped with 6 mil Static Intercept then loaded into crates with desiccant packs.
