Oil is a necessity for many uses in the world, and that is not something we'll debate here. Our point in bringing up this most recent spill is to emphasize how oil-free anti-corrosion packaging can reduce the usage of oils in the manufacturing, packaging, storage and shipment of goods. Manufacturers of large and small parts able to eliminate the usage of protective oils will reduce waste, save manpower, contain costs and reduce carbon footprint. Intelligent choices in packaging can change the way a company does business - steps in a positive direction often lead to more changes in a system. Status quo may be comfortable, but many would agree we have a responsiblity to our community and to the greater good.
Mahatma Gandhi said "You must be the change you wish to see in the world."
Intercept Technology Packaging products fit within a sustainability strategy because they are reusable, recyclable, do not contain or use volatile components (No VOCs, Not a VCI) and leave a smaller carbon footprint than most traditional protective packaging products.
